Celebrity Hairstyle

June 09, 2011 By: Jocelyn Iyog Category: Hair, Women’s Fashion

We all like to reminisce about the celebrity hairstyles that swept the world. The late Farrah Fawcett’s mane was probably the most influential style of the 1970s. And stylists everywhere grew thoroughly sick of copying the Jennifer Aniston style in the mid to late 1990s. Reality TV mom Kate Gosselin has received cheers and boos for her haircut, referred to as a “chunky bob” by fans and “a reverse mullet” by detractors.

But sometimes it’s fun to remember a few of those outrageously bad celebrity hairstyles, whether they took place on the head of a woman or a man. Britney Spears head shaving incident did have the effect of boosting her fame, but not necessarily in a good way. Remember Sanjaya Malakar from American Idol? He’ll always be remembered for his outrageous, show-pony-like faux-hawk rather than his singing.

Perhaps the most cringeworthy hair belongs to someone who knows how to take it as well as dish it out. Good old Donald Trump and his comb-over. It’s one of the few things that makes him sympathetic. Money can’t buy active hair follicles, apparently.

Choosing a right hairstyle is important not only to make right fashion statement but also to stay comfortable in different seasons. For instance, in summer you need to explore hairstyles which are easy to manage in the humidity and look fresh for long. If you are interested in keeping yourself comfortable with right hairstyle for summer, consider following suggestions.
This summer forget about flat irons and hair straighter because those just leave hair hanging there without any hot mantra or volume. Go for voluminous, tousled curls for sexing up your summer look – take on the 1940’s mermaid hair style with side parting and waves to add oomph to your long hair.
One of the best ways to look cute yet hot and chic is to tangle your hair up in a milkbraid or any of those beachy, tousled braids. Celebrities and socialites are increasingly being seen with them. If you like short, flaunt your hair with a bob or a pixie crop. Or tie your hair up in a ponytail, giving your roots and base a boost to achieve that ultimate sultry look. Use a shine spray with all these hairstyles to instantly glam your hair do, leaving hair glossy and fresh, perfect for summer.
