Spring is the best time to have fun with fashion. The warmth and longer days seem to lift everyone’s spirits. Why not try something new? You might find a new favorite that way!
Here are a few trends for spring.

The shirtwaist dress. This does not have to be the dowdy, shapeless shirtwaist that reminds you of an elderly librarian. When cut with darts and princess seams, the shirtwaist dress is young, flirty, feminine, and comfortable. Sleeveless shirtwaist dresses look great when the temperatures get downright hot.

Big,chunky queen rings . These oversized, bright rings are a happy looking accessory to your summer outfits. You can find them in most every shade, too, making it easy to coordinate with your outfits.

Sandals with platforms and heels. They may make orthopedists frown, but high heel platform sandals – particularly if they have gladiator styling – are the hottest shoe look this spring. What’s a little discomfort when they make your legs look a mile long?

Aviator shades. This style never really goes out, but this year it is coming back strong. And what’s not to like? They protect your eyes, the shape flatters most every face, and they have an ever-so-slight “bad girl” look to them.

Skinny boot-cut jeans. They’re still going strong, particularly in dark, lightweight denim, because they form a foundation for any number of summer looks. Paired with a peasant blouse and flat sandals, you look young and sweet. Paired with a sequined top and high heeled sandals, you’re ready for a night out.
