Natural Beauty Regiment

June 09, 2011 By: Jocelyn Iyog Category: Beauty, Tips & how to’s

Everybody wants to be beautiful. But beauty always has a price. The most evident price is what you pay at the salon or the products you buy. There is however a more costly payment that does not appear until years later. It is the impact on health. Traditional beauty products are almost always loaded with men-made chemicals that have long-term effects when used regularly. Men-made chemicals, though they can be effective, are usually harsher on the body. The result is accelerated ageing, loss in skin tone, wrinkles…etc. Some people develop a hypersensitivity to these products so that they no longer can use normal cosmetics. A natural beauty regimen is softer and gives the body the relaxing respite that makes it more beautiful. Here are some essential components of a natural beauty regimen:

Aromatherapy
While it can be used for many other purposes, aromatherapy is also used for beautification. With aromatherapy, the skin is kept clear, the body becomes smoother, and the hair is encouraged to flourish. Essential oils can be used to treat wrinkles, pimples, cellulite, and dry skin. Some essential oils that are commonly used are lavender, tea tree, and sandalwood.

Natural Shampoos
Exposure of the hair to the chemicals contained in shampoo contributes to hair loss in the long run. It is It is therefore imperative to look for natural shampoos without any addition of chemicals.

Beauty Tips for Working Women

June 09, 2011 By: Jocelyn Iyog Category: Beauty, Tips & how to’s

Appearance in a work environment is a crucial issue for both men and women. However, as always, most pressure is on women. Studies have found that well-dressed and groomed women earn around 10% more money than women that dress plainly. This may sound horribly discriminating but this is how the world works. For women, beauty breeds confidence and confidence breeds success. Yet, many working women are embroiled in their routine that they often forget this aspect. Combining work, marriage and often children, it is very difficult to find time for oneself. Here are some tips for those busy working women who cannot find sufficient time for themselves.

Sports and Relaxation
The first key to beauty is health. If your body is stressed and tired, this will most certainly reflect on your appearance. Doing some amount of sports everyday is not only good for your waistline, it also helps you relax, and results in a more restful sleep at night. These are all important factors in giving you that fresh, youthful look the next morning (instead of the sagged appearance of a tired woman).

Choice of Clothing
Clothing should always be chosen in function of one’s body. In general, clothes with vertical lines make you appear longer, while clothes with horizontal lines make you appear shorter and fatter. Thus, if you are tall, you may wish to appear more voluminous so that clothes with horizontal lines would be more suitable. The reverse is true for people who are short and plump.
